Friends! Let me introduce you to my first born, Do Wildness.
I wrote this book for anyone that feels that the structures and routines of their life no longer seem to fit.
I wrote this book for anyone who feels small little tugs of something more wilder and alive waiting just beyond them.
A decade ago, I couldn’t ignore the pull any longer and took to the road- closer attenton to the natural world.
From the remote deserts of Australia to the bustle of New York City, Do Wildness is about what happens when we begin to notice what modern life so often trains us to overlook: birdsong, moon cycles, seasons and soils, the rhythms of the more-than-human world, and the relationships woven through it all.
Through personal and mythic storytelling as well as everyday practices, this book is an invitation into a deeper relationship with the world and our place within it.
In doing so, I hope to offer trails back into aliveness, belonging, beauty, reciprocity and praise.
“Anna is a myth-bearer carrying myths forward into contemporary life.
This book is a call to reclaim our instinctual, creaturely selves. With a sense of aliveness and appreciation, Anna urges us to remember a way of perceiving and receiving the world ripe with meaning-making and mystery - the fullness of presence and participation of contemporary animism. Through the poetry and patterns of interconnection, Anna reminds us of our place in the intricate, intimate web of entangled life. ”
